Designed to attract wildlife

If you’re like us, and you adore being close to wildlife, a pond is one of the best things you can do to encourage biodiversity to your garden. Our team mimic natural ecosystems and use native plants to build environments loved by many insects, mammals and birds. It’s not uncommon for frogs, newts, dragonflies or water boatmen to arrive on the same day we build the pond. You will be amazed at how quickly they all appear.

So, why does a pond attract wildlife?

A pond provides an array of benefits to all sorts of wildlife. Water brings life to a garden, and it’s the perfect relaxing experience to sit beside and watch all that it brings. Bird’s seek it to bathe, mammals to drink, amphibians will make it their home and come to breed. Ponds are vital habitat for many insects and plants.

Pond planting

Our wildlife ponds are planted with UK native species, and pollinator rich food sources for insects. We use a combination of floating aquatics, deep water species and marginals to create multiple diverse habitats. Varied heights, textures and colours of planting and flowering plants are used, so that your pond not only looks attractive to wildlife, but is a beautiful feature in your garden.
